It was four against one today with four lawyers for every one of Concerned Citizen's of Mason County (CCMC) lawyers. Unfortunately, we can't make any David and Goliath jokes today. The port had two fancy lawyers from Seattle, their very own Skip Houser and another attorney from ADAGE. CCMC had one very articulate and very well researched lawyer. Here are some pictures:

My daughter was ill and she tried to sleep during the hearing, but she snores loudly when she is ill. For that, we got some looks that could have killed! In the end I kept her awake by tickling her foot.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter has an uncanny knack for knowing when court proceedings are not worth staying awake for.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter made up for the woman in front of me who rustled her papers loudly the whole damn time.
ReplyDeleteI particularly loved it when the judge finally heard the snores and looked at our corner of the room... nothing to see here, Your Honor...
LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly is a "fancy lawyer"? Does that mean one who is highly educated, or who knows the laws well...or who wears shiny shoes? I fail to understand why you use this term. Sounds pretty provincial to me.
ReplyDeleteIt is provincial and it denotes disrespect for outsiders!
