My photography professor loved this composition, but did not like the technical problems with the lighting. Well in the last year I have learned a lot about editing raw files, and I think it shows. Here is what the picture looked like the first time I printed it, when did not know much about editing raw files.

If I could do this shot all over again I would underexpose for the background and use a flash to light up the foreground. Thanks to Patrick Penoyer for teaching me how to do that during a protest in Oly. And thanks to Clinton for give me some tips on editing raw files. I love it when I find people who share their knowledge simply for the joy of giving and teaching.

Excellent "dark room" customizing, Shawnie. Amy and I will take three prints; we will frame one and hang it on our living room wall and send the other two to activist groups engaged in the fight to keep our air clean.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome Tom! I'll try to get them printed tomorrow.
