I'm surprised to see Evergreen Elementary school getting a new roof this summer. The building seems new enough to me that the roof should still be good. Not that I begrudge a new roof to the district's worst elementary school in terms of playground equipment, classroom technology, qualified teacher's aides and white flight. (They also have the worst test scores but can't really be blamed for that since a good percentage of the students are not native English speakers) They need any help they can get over at Evergreen. I just wonder if a new roof is the best use of resources.

A clear case of Carpel Finger Syndrome. Shaving a few pounds off those prodigious digits might improve dexterity.
